CHARMED star Rose McGowan has used her high-profile Hollywood role as a means to campaign for women's rights.
She became embroiled in the sexual harassment scandal surrounding movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, here's what we know about the Hollywood actress and the book she has written...
Rose McGowan is an American actress, producer, director and singer.
The 45-year-old grew up in the States, but was born in Tuscany, Italy, on September 5, 1973.
Rose is best-known for her role as Paige Matthews in the WB supernatural drama Charmed, between 2001 and 2006.
She made her film debut in 1992 comedy Encino Man yet found wider fame after starring in 1996 flick Scream.
The actress was said to have become a victim of a sex tape leak in November 2016.
According to the Mirror, reports of the leak have appeared in America, while images from the tape have been circulating on social media.
The newspaper claims there are two videos showing a woman, claimed to be Rose, performing sex acts.
An array of Hollywood stars have accused the legendary producer of sexual harassment, rape and assault since the New York Times released a damning expose on his settlements with victims.
In a series of tweets on October 12 2017, McGowan said Weinstein raped her and Amazon Studios ignored her complaints.
She tweeted: "I told the head of your studio that HW raped me. Over & over I said it. He said it hadn't been proven. I said I was the proof."
Ms McGowan reportedly reached a settlement with Weinstein after a hotel room encounter during the Sundance Film Festival.
Rose is thought to have been paid £70,000 by the producer over an incident in the 1990s, and she recently tweeted: “Ladies of Hollywood your silence is deafening.”
She then took to her Twitter account to upload a snap showing her in her youth and the words: "This is the girl that was hurt by a monster. This is the girl who you are shaming with your silence."
In January 2018, Weinstein broke his silence to deny the allegations made by Rose against him and claims that e-mails between him and Ben Affleck prove it.
In Septemeber 2018, Rose became the first woman to win an inspiration gong award at the GQ awards.
Rose McGowan opened up about a life of homelessness and abuse long before her alleged sexual assault at the hands of "predator" Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein.
In her new memoir, Brave, the actress tells of being raised in a polygamous cult by "cruel" parents who she claims forced her into a relationship with an abusive older man.
McGowan was born into the Children of God cult while her parents were in Italy.
Her parents escaped to the US when the sect began advocating sexual relationships between adults and children - but the cruelty continued.
She bounced between living with her father and her mother, who abandoned her, forcing a 15-year-old McGowan to move in with a man 20 years her senior.
The Charmed star claims she lost two toenails in one attack in which the man, William, dragged her around by the collar.
She also speaks of the 1997 Sundance Film Festival incident between her and Weinstein, who she brands a "monster", for the very first time.
McGowan says that she had an appointment with Weinstein, who has denied ever sexually assaulting McGowan, but arrived to learn her breakfast meeting had been moved to his hotel suite.
She claims Weinstein tore off her clothes and made her sit on the edge of the Jacuzzi while he performed a sex act on her while touching himself.
"I freeze, like a statue," McGowan, who reached a £70,000 settlement with Weinstein, writes in the book seen by the New York Times.
The Children of God cult was born out of the Teens for Christ movement which existed on the fringe of America's hippy community.

Ben Affleck issued a statement condemning sex pest movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, in which he said he was "saddened" and "angry" by the producers "actions".
But just hours later, Rose McGowan publicly shamed him, claiming he was “lying” about what he knew.
In a series of tweets, the actress told Affleck to “f**k off” as she called him out.
“Goddamnit! I told him to stop doing that you said that to my face,” she wrote to him on Twitter.
“The press conf (sic) I was made to go to after assault. You lie.”
She then accused him of lying about his knowledge of Weinstein's history of sexual misconduct, which resulted in her Twitter account being suspended.
